1915 Hrs – Starboard Hull Reinforcement Done
As planned I got the starboard hull cabin top reinforcement all but completed today. Just a few small bits lefts and then a bit of a clean up and I can move over to the port hull. By my reckoning it’s taken just over 60 hours of work to complete this operation on the starboard hull. If things go to pattern then the port hull should take a little less. It’s been the same all the way through the build, you learn, you, improve, you speed up.
I’m really going to push with this because I want to get to the next stage which is starting to apply the glass twill sheathing. It’s a tad premature but I think I can just make out the end of the external structural build of the hulls looming into view!
I can’t tell you how great it is to read these regular posts of your progress. Not only is the build itself fascinating, but it always helps me push forward on my own projects. The voice in my head says, “Look what Neil has done this week. What have YOU accomplished?”
