1865.5 Hrs – Back In The Swing
I put in a good solid day today and I’m really beginning to enjoy working again. Seeing progress being made lightens my mood, reminds me what it’s all about and leaves me with a warm glow of satisfaction.
My focus for the next few weeks is to get all of the hull joints glassed over. By my estimate that’s something in the region of 223 metres (732 feet) of jointing that needs to be filled, sanded, masked, epoxied, layed over with 150mm (6″) biaxial glass tape, epoxied again and finally trimmed.
That’s a lot of work but what keeps me going is that once it’s done I can move onto sheathing and then painting!
Here’s a photo sequence of the work that’s involved in glassing these joints:
right on
Niel, Great to see you back at wok!! I had to laugh at your measuring the length of joints. Been there doing that:)
So when you see that big of a number is is good or bad for the mood?
I’m itching to get back to work om my Tiki 30 but there is still too much snow at the build site:(
Take care
Ed
Hi Ed, Hope the snow clears for you soon, as for whether big numbers are good or bad for the mood it depends on the job!
Thanks David!
