1396Hrs- Must Do Better
I don’t know where the time has gone this weekend. I really enjoyed celebrating my Birthday with good friends and I had some lovely presents and cards. A particularly special gift was a Wenger (the people who make the Swiss Army Knife) sailing knife. I’ll post some photos of it when I have more time. I’ll also write a bit more about the numerous comments I got to the ‘Sense and Simplicity’ post the other night. I figured it might get a reaction and thanks to all those that commented, some interesting and varied thoughts to ponder. Anyway with social and other commitments I didn’t get a whole lot done on the boat this weekend. All I’ve done is clean up the scarfed joints on the upper hull sheer stringers and get them roughly positioned along the hulls. That was quite difficult on my own, trying to handle hefty bits of timber some 12 metres long without breaking them or anything else! I used temporary wire loops to feed the lengths through and that allow the stringers to hang in place ready to clamp up when glued. I also marked the hulls to show where the glue needs to go. My target is to get one fixed on each of the next four nights.
