1141Hrs – Two Left
I’m keen to keep some progress going after my holiday not least because I am away in Scotland next weekend and will lose yet more time. I’d really like to get all the upper hullside panels cut and dry fitted before I go. I managed another couple of hours today and got the last bow panel finished. I just have the two stern panels on the port hull to do and I will have a complete set of panels cut and ready for final fitting and glueing. I’m beginning to get concerned that my work rate is not as high as it needs to be if this build is going to be completed in a reasonable time. This year I’ve managed to bump up my average from 1.5 to 1.75 hours per day but I really ought to be hitting at least 2. I had it in mind that by the end of this year I would have the decks on but looking at the huge amount of preparation, filleting, sanding and interior fit out work needed before then that target is looking ambitious to say the least. I am also going to need some more expensive timber soon and finances are not great right now. I see some challenging months ahead.
