1123Hrs – Needing Some Sun
Next week my girlfriend and I are off to Portugal for 10 days. We are desperate for some sunshine and warmth. Summer in the UK has been a non event, today has been yet another dull dreary one to add to the weeks we’ve already had. Tonight as I was carrying a full sheet of ply round the boat, the top edge sliced through my polythene ‘roof’ right underneath a collected pool of rainwater. I got an unexpected drenching of cold dirty rainwater! Funny looking back but I can tell you I was less than amused at the time! This holiday is going to be a much needed re-charge after a hard year. Despite my soaking I soldiered on and got another two panels fitted to the forward section of the starboard hull. I now have the harder bow and stern sections to tackle. With the holiday approaching I’m just doing what I can without putting too much pressure on, that said it would be nice to get the starboard hull sides on before we go.
